Butterfields Forge specialises in continuous estate fencing which was traditionally used to contain livestock but is now frequently used to enhance a property and its garden.

All fences are erected on site by our small professional team to ensure that all of our fences are built to the same high standard. Erecting our fences on site allows us to curve fencing & follow ground contours which is not achievable with panelled fencing

Erecting our fences
To create a stable structure the fence posts are knocked deep into the ground. The rails are then threaded through the posts and cut to length. The posts are welded upright and the joins welded solid, these joins are staggered across all the posts to make the fence as strong as possible.

Standard Fencing
Our standard fencing is 1.2m high with 5 rails and a post every metre. The top rail is 20mm solid round and the lower four rails can be either round (16mm) or flat (25 x 8mm), the posts are 40 x 10mm flat.
